Dallas Family Fellowship

Teens

Our adult church was the direct result of getting out into the neighborhoods and reaching families. They needed a place to worship and the Dallas Family Fellowship was formed. It is a church that is designed to minister to, and meet the needs of the inner city. We hold services each Sunday evening at 5 P.M., and provide transportation to and from our service using our fleet of busses.
Our services have vibrant worship, led by volunteer students from Christ for the Nations Institute. Each week our people come expecting to meet God through praise and worship, which reflect both modern worship and an “inner-city” style with which they can identify.
His Kids Metro is an exciting place for 6-11 year olds to learn about God, each other, and to just be a kid. It is a high-energy service, designed to allow children to meet God, and is filled with games, songs, Bible lessons and worship, all on an elementary school level. We also have nursery and preschool classes, so that even the youngest in our congregation can experience God. It is staffed by loving workers who have a genuine call to this age group, and can ensure that every parent who attends can have a safe environment to entrust their children.
We focus not only on meeting the spiritual need, but we also aid in meeting the physical need. One of the greatest needs in the inner city is clothing and food. Everyday, there are families who go hungry and children forced to wear clothes too small or damaged. Once a month we provide clothing to all of our adult members, and we provide food as often as possible. It is a great blessing to all of our families and is a thrill to watch our congregation receive their items with such excitement.
As an inner-city church we are sensitive to the needs of the Spanish speaking population. Our services are translated into Spanish in order that our entire congregation is able to enjoy and receive from the service. We also have a Spanish life class, so that personal teaching and ministry can occur.
However powerful the services, there is still a need to disciple on a more personal level. Every Tuesday at 6:30 we have our small group “Life Classes.” During these classes we have an opportunity to focus more intensely on the Word and on life application. Because we split up into different age groups, each teacher is able to bring the Word of God to their people’s level. Each child, teenager and adult is able to learn more intricate concepts that would be difficult to explain during service. It is also time of fellowship, so that our congregation can become a true Body of Christ.
Dallas Family Fellowship is an all-inclusive place of worship, where we feel that no one is too great or too small to come to God. It is culturally diverse, and everything we do reflects our diversity. It is a church to reach the inner city, and a church to reach the world.
