Accelerate Youth

The inner city youth of Dallas face challenges that most will never have to come against their entire lives.  Growing up in neighborhoods where crime, drugs, violence, gun shots, dropping out of school, abuse and gangs are the norm – the need for opportunities and mentoring is enormous.

Dallas Metro Ministries’ goal is to keep these inner city teens from joining the cycle that pervades in their neighborhoods.  One of the ways that we have found to help prevent this cycle is through Accelerate Youth.

Each week we bus teens from various housing projects all over the city of Dallas to take part in youth service, discipleship, life classes, mentoring and leadership training.  Building relationships with the teenagers has been the most effective key that we have found to impact the lives of the teenagers.  One weekly youth service is not enough to make a positive influence on their lives when such great negativity invades them thus the creation of numerous avenues of reaching out to the youth at Accelerate. 

Accelerate is not your ordinary youth program.  Accelerate is where you get to challenge your way of thinking.  Where you get to ask all the questions you ever wanted to ask and get the truth in return.  Accelerate is not just a place, but a change in direction.  It’s a lifestyle – it’s where you get to be you.  Discover your purpose, hangout with friends, experience God, and challenge you to fulfill your destiny.
